Frogs and the Fairy "tales"

Here is picture from the other night trunk & treating. There are more, but at least this is all of them, in a somewhat normal pose, before wings came off.

Here are some more pics (coming soon):
Tate wore his backup costume under the frog. We like to call it Tate the Cable Guy

Blakely went to the farm again today, and got to hold a duck.

Here is the morning ritual with the boys... really, all day. Tate has decided he is now old enough to tackle anyone.

More pics

We went out to farm for a bday party today, and had a good time. Kids loved it, feeding the animals, and Jack rode a horse, and practiced roping. Tate got his first "real" haircut from a professional yesterday, so here's an updated picture of this grown up boy now. Blakely got to hold a rabbit. enjoy.

So I bet your wonderin' - why don' he rite?

Well, I'm fixing to proof read my next paper due tomorrow night at 9pm, but before I do, I guess I'll update ya on whats happening around these-here-parts.
Tate is a madman. Just this morning I watched as he climbed in the little blue chair and jumped off. Then saw him lay over the edge of the toy chair, fall on his head and then his legs kicked on over. But he sure is happy. His signs are going well, he knows mom, dad, more and please. And that's good, because he loves to go digging through the cereal drawer and pull out all the boxes of food. He then sits down on the ground, right in front of you signing please please please, and mumbling some sort of dialect. He has started giving open mouth kisses, which goes great with the fountain of droul springing from his new teeth.
Jackson is experiencing some sort of voice change lately. We thought it was a cold or allergies, and who knows, it may be, but theres some hoarseness coming about in his talking. He drew his first picture this week of a family of 5. We were so amazed, and shocked to find out it wasn't our family. It was Brad April Braden Dayne and Cade. hahahaha. Out in their swimming pool. He had his last soccer game Saturday, and got to have pizza and medal night at Mr. Gattis (or as Jack calls it, Mr. Daddys)
Blakely is having drug awareness week. And so they are wearing silly things all week. Tonight I asked her if she knew what they were talking about, and she said no, they just had to wear silly socks. I said they are teaching you not to smoke (because we've had this talk already), so that you can take care of yourself. To which she expressed, well then how in the world are we learning to take care of our bodies by wearing silly socks??? haahhaah. Man those kids.
We are staying pretty busy. But really what does that mean? We just have life going on. Lots of emotions involved in our lives besides kids, school and work. Family, health issues of friends, concerns about raising our kids in this world. But tonights lesson in church touched on a good schematic thought from Luke 4, as it says, Jesus returned to 'his hometown' in the power of the Spirit. No matter where I'm heading, I'm going in the power of the Spirit.
So that's my closing to you... Go in the Power of the Spirit.

As good as it gets

we made a journey to SW Houston this weekend to see the family. and this is the result of some 450 pictures (not really, but seemed like it). At least from my camera, this was the best one of everyone. Actually, every picture was good, because it portrayed a moment in time that will never be again. Capture 'em up.

Going to California

You ever hear a song that puts you where you want to be?
Right now I'm somewhere else, I'm "Going to California"

A song from the college days of life, no worries, no stresses, no mortgage, no fret of what happens when I send my kid to daycare. Even the tests (I'm sure my parents could attest for) were no worries. Bobby McFarren said it well, Don't worry, be happy. Yet... there's worries. Theres stress of life. Theres people who get hurt. Theres crap you can't deal with. (Yes, i said crap. Take it good that i didn't say what i wanted to say).

Where are we? And why? What is our purpose. Forget this Bill Warren purpose... what is your purpose? Do you know. Do you feel as if you are fulfilling that calling?
[had enough yet]

There's something about music that connects you with those you love. Friends of long ago who can never be removed from your life. For some reason, for those few moments of interaction and intertwining, you become brothers. Nothing can seperate your devotion and dedication. And all it takes is a song to make things disappear.

Sit out on the porch, smell the cool breeze of the moon, and say nothing. But know, your friend is near.
